【China AIDS:5975】

However, a professor surnamed Sun at Peking University agreed with the education bureau, saying that the immunity of students under 18 may not be strong enough to resist the virus, and the working environment could also reduce the teacher's immunity thus increasing the risk of developing AIDS.
But Sun said such restrictions related to HIV carriers are not only a social issue, but that this is also related to medical standards and health legislation.
"China has explored the hepatitis B vaccine, so the hepatitis B carriers are now more free than before," Sun says. "The HIV restrictions will also be loosened one day when the way to control and prevent it appears."
Sun also disagrees that Xiao Wu was the victim of discrimination and he called for individuals to show social responsibility rather than only care about their own rights.
