亲爱的姐妹们，不管你是来自洗浴中心，休闲店，还是十元店，我希望大家都能认可今天这个特别的日子，今天是8月3日，是我们性工作者的节日，小姐的节日。
Dear sisters:
No matter where are you come from, soap-lands , brothels or some places priced 10-yuan per time. I hope you will regard today, August third, as a special day for sex workers, the prostitutes.
这个节日是中国民间女权工作室在2009年创立的，今年已经是第四届了。
为什么要创立这个节日呢
It has been 4 years since this special day was founded in 2009 at the Chinese Grassroots Women' Right Center. So, why do we create such a DAY?
第一点是希望姐妹能在这个空洞的世界里，找到属于自己的位置。当三八妇女节来临时，人们忘记了，性工作者也是女人。而当记者，护士，律师，志愿者，军人，都在过着自己的节日时，人们否认性工作也是工作，抹杀性工作者为这个社会所做的贡献。因此，我需要这个节日来告诉他们，我们的存在。
The first and foremost reason is that we hope our sisters can find their own positions in this hollow world. When it comes to the Women' Day in March the eighth,people incline to forget that prostitutes are women too. While journalists, nurses, lawyers, volunteers and army-men enjoy their own festival, they refuse to admit the truth that sex work is also a kind of job and the contributions sex workers have made. Thus, we need this DAY to tell them the existence and value of us.
第二个原因是希望在这个对性工作者充满歧视的社会里，能争取一天的平等对待。你在一年三百六十五天中，有三百六十四天歧视性工作者，甚至还会谩骂，羞辱性工作者，你认为那是一种正义，是一种道德需要。那么，我请你在这一天，休息一下，停止你的歧视与谩骂，给一天的时间尊重性工作者，如果有可能，还请给她祝福与微笑。这对每一个道德高尚的人，应该都不是过份的要求。
亲爱的姐妹们，在这一年中，大家辛苦了。
The other reason is that we hope we can fight for only one day to treat sex workers equally in this society filled by discrimination of prostitutes. You despise, abuse and even humiliate prostitutes in 364 of each year, because you believe social morality needs you to do so and it shows your sense of justice. Therefore, please have a rest today, stop all your discrimination and abuse, respect the sex workers for only one day. If it is possible, please smile to them and pray for them. It is not a unreasonable requirement to a noble man.
Dear sisters, you were laborious in this year.
我们首先要感谢这个世界，美丽的阳光，清新的空气，娇艳的花朵，可爱的小动物，它们从来没有歧视我们。因此我们每一天都会像所有人一样，拥有清新的空气和迷人的阳光，欣赏盛放的花朵，抚摸着温顺的小猫小狗，感受这个世界的美好。这个世界虽然对我们颇具争议，但这并不影响我们享受生命的过程。
At first, we should be grateful to this world. The beautiful sunshine, fresh air, fabulous flowers and lovely animals have never despise us. We can feel the happiness in this world, bath in the gentle sunshine, breath in clean air, enjoy the blossom flowers and touch tender kittens and puppies every day like every one else . Though we are one of the most controversial problems in this world, it has nothing to do with the enjoyment of life.
所有的工作，都不会是只有快乐没有痛苦；所有的人生都不会是一番风顺。我相信，我们的性工作者姐妹，是比普通人要坚强的人。因为，我们承受着比其他职业更多的压力与委屈。我们要面对来自法律的打压，来自道德的压迫，还有来自社会的歧视，或者还有来自客人的暴力和来自健康的威胁。我们常年都不得不用另一个身份来生活。
All kind of works crate not only happy but also painful, just like each life contains many ups and downs. In my view, sex workers are tougher than common people, because we bare far more pressures and injustice experiences than other occupations. We have to face the suppression of government and morality. What's more, discrimination from society , violence from clients and threatens of personal health. We have to disguise as another person to live throughout the year.
但是，想一想，其实我们的生活中也有快乐。虽然我们是性工作者，我们一样会获得美丽的爱情。我知道，你们中许多人，都有各种各样美丽的爱情故事，有许多男人为你们投入真心。这些人中，有客人，也有身边的朋友，同学。因此我们要感谢这个世界，虽然我们经常遇上很倒霉的事情，但美好的事物并没有抛弃我们。性工作者的现在和未来，一样可以很精彩。
在今天这个特别的日子，我想对姐妹们送上真诚的祝福。
After another thought, actually, there is something nice in our life. Though we are prostitutes, we are able to have pure love. I know, many of you have various kinds of beautiful love stories. Many men fall in love with you. Among these men, there are clients, friends and classmates. Hence, we are grateful to the world. Even though unfortunate things often occur to us, the kind and nice part always along with us. The past and future of sex workers can be splendid as well.
On this special day, I want to send my sincere wishes to my fellows.
首先是祝福大家，家庭幸福，和美。再则祝福每一个姐妹，青春永驻，健康平安。
我坚定的相信未来，法律，道德，社会公众都会改变对我们的态度。他们终有一天不会再是冰冷无情的。他们终于有一天会认识到，不能对一群给予了孤独者慰藉的女人，如此多的残暴与不公平。
Firstly, I wish your family happiness and harmony. Then, May each sister stay forever young, be health and safe.
I firmly believe that the law, morality and social public in the future will change their attitude toward us. That one day they will not indifferent like ice any more, one day they will recognize they should not be so inhumanity and unfair to the group of women who comfort loners.
亲爱的姐妹们，让我们在今天忘记所有的不快乐，自由地做自己。你会收到我们给予的一份小礼物，那代表的是我们真诚的友谊。中国民间女权工作室，将一如既往坚定地站在性工作者姐妹身边，为尽早实现平等尊重的美好愿望而努力奋斗。
Dear sisters, let's forget all the unhappiness today and be ourself freely. You will receive a gift of us, it represent our sincere friendship between us. The Chinese Grassroots Women' Right Center will stand firmly beside all the sex workers as usual and fight for the realization of equal respect as soon as possible.
